Jasprit Bumrah receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah on Tuesday said that he has received his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. “Vaccinated. Please stay safe everyone,” tweeted the India and Mumbai Indians speedster along with a picture.

Bumrah is expected to lead the Indian pace attack in the upcoming World Test Championship final against New Zealand and the subsequent away series in England.

Then several of his teammates, including skipper Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma, had got their first jab in various vaccination centres across the country.

Head coach Ravi Shastri was the first from the Indian cricket team to receive the vaccine. He got his first jab in the first week of March, when vaccination was made open for all senior citizens.

Jimmy Neesham trolls Jasprit Bumrah on birthday post for his wife Sanjana Ganesan.

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Jimmy Neesham to have some fun with on social media. Neesham, who is infamous for being very active on social media has had fun with his friend Maxwell and many either cricketers with hilarious replies on their Instagram posts now showed his sense of humor on his MI teammate Bumrah’s post.

Taking to social media, Bumrah shared a lovely pic of the duo as his wife celebrates her 30th birthday. He captioned it reading, “Happy birthday to the person who steals my heart every day. You’re my person, I love you.” Jasprit Bumrah shared a beautiful black and white picture of himself with Sanjana Ganesan, presumably from the time the couple got married in March. He wished his wife a happy birthday, writing how she steals his heart every day.

Several fans flocked to the comments section to celebrate the happy couple, while also wishing Sanjana Ganesan a happy birthday. But Jimmy Neesham was at it again with his social media antics, posting a funny comment on Bumrah’s picture.


The Kiwi all-rounder hilariously described how he first thought Jasprit Bumrah was referring to Trent Boult in the adorable caption. Jimmy Neesham made the following comment on the 27-year-old’s Instagram post.

Bumrah, who got hitched earlier this year, did not get to spend time with his wife Sanjana as both of them resumed their work soon post their marriage. Now with the IPL suspended and everyone returning their home, Bumrah made sure to wish his wife on her special day.
