Hat-trick for Nathan Ellis in his T20I debut for Australia

Despite skipper Mahmudullh’s fifth T20I, fifty Bangladesh was able to post 127/9 in 20 over against Australia in the third match at Mirpur as Nathan Ellis made a hat-trick in his debut in the last over which kept Bangladesh below 130.

In the rain-hit match, the toss was delayed by 30 minutes. After winning the toss Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah Riyad chose to bat first. But openers proved him wrong as Bangladesh lost 2 for 3.

Josh Hazlewood struck early to take the wicket of Mohammad Naim (1) while Adam Zampa removed Soumya Sarkar (2 off 11) as Bangladesh lost their second wickets to 3 in 2.1 over.

Shakib Al Hasan (26 off 17) fell to Adam Zampa and Bangladesh lost their third wicket to 47.

Alex Carey’s direct hit removed inform batsman Afif Hossain (19 off 12) as Bangladesh lost their fourth wickets in 12 overs.

Josh Hazlewood struck again to bring the fifth breakthrough for visiting Australia. It was short of a length from Hazlewood and Shamim went for a cross-batted swipe and it skews into the midwicket area where McDermott makes good ground and stretches to grab it 81/5.

Despite skipper Mahmudullah’s 53-ball 52 runs Bangladesh able to post only 127/9 in 20 overs due to losing wickets in regular intervals.

Nathan Ellis was the best bowler for Australia with 3/34 while Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa took 2 wickets each.
