The 1st match of the ODI series between Sri Lanka and England will be played on Tuesday, 29th of June at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. Sri Lanka have not able to maintain their brand of cricket in recent years, as they have slipped down to 9^th in the ODI Rankings.

They need to be more skillful and more emphasis should be to be given to their batting. Sri Lanka had a disastrous T20I series where they were swept 0-3 by England. Whatever could have gone wrong with the Sri Lankan side, probably went wrong.
